Olivier Py directs Ibsen's "Peer Gynt" with Grieg's music at the Théâtre du Châtelet, a rare staging of the play. The production explores Peer Gynt's universal themes of escaping societal norms and fighting for spiritual survival, incorporating elements of folklore, trolls, and even Oedipal themes, inspired by Wilhelm Reich's psychoanalysis of the character.
